The Dropout : Is Elizabeth a fraud or did she simply believe in something that wasn't possible in the first place ?

The Dropout tv show had us following Elizabeth Holmes founder of Theranos on how she began the company and what led to it's subsequent downfall. Elizabeth Holmes had claimed that her company had developed automated machines that could perform a wide variety of blood tests at a much cheaper pricing. She more or less believed in the saying fake it till you make it. Holmes was not educated enough to have any clue about what she was talking about. Her idea sounded great and she could talk a good talk about it. She thought that with enough money she could ultimately build a viable product but that was solely based on wishful thinking. The title of the tv show "The Dropout" seems to emphasize the fact that she dropped out of Stanford at the age of 19.

This seems a bit unfair given that all dropouts are not failures and some have done remarkably extraordinary things. University education does not necessarily guarantee success so not sure why they had put the emphasis on that.

Maybe one day we will be able to take a drop of blood and do every test know to mankind in a matter of minutes.
